I have been at MGLVA since I was in kindergarten and I have always had great teachers who have taught me many things and have been very encouraging. Since our school’s symbol is a lighthouse, I talked about what the purpose of lighthouses were with my mom and dad and how they would guide ships to safety. Then I thought about what our teachers and staff do with students and how they are our guides in school. They teach us and lead us so that we can navigate our education in the best way possible. It’s even more challenging because they do this all on-line and are able to keep us interested and engaged all from a distance. My teachers have always been able to explain things clearly and always greet me with a smile, which makes my day better. When the school year ends, I feel like I am always prepared for the next year’s challenges because of their light and guidance. I love MGLVA!

MGVLA overall is a pretty great school. Considering the fact that teachers are expected to engage teenagers who have free will I would say they do an amazing job. They have events to interact with other students in person and online. Curriculum is easy to access and rather insightful. Admin is good and so is faculty.

I love that I can learn the best way for me, but I am still allowed to participate in outside events. Having the opportunity to meet with classmates around my area and in my grade is great! It gives us even more opportunities to get to know each other.
