Four Simple Steps to Enroll
Step 1
Create Parent Account
The K12 Enrollment Portal provides access to your online application to MGLVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Step 2
Submit an Application
Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Enrollment Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select MGLVA, and hit Submit.
Step 3
Upload Additional Documents
In this step, you’ll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.380.2480.
Step 4
Welcome to K12!
After successfully completing the enrollment process, your student will be approved. Please check your email for important information regarding your student’s status and how to access the Online School platform.

Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirements
- Kindergarten students must be age 5 by September 1 of the upcoming school year. View the Kindergarten Enrollment Policy [PDF].
- Students must be younger than 20 years of age on September 1 of the upcoming school year and not have a GED or already earned a high school diploma.
Proof of Residency
While attending MGLVA you must maintain full-time, Michigan residency.
Virtual Information Session
Parents or legal guardians of every student enrolling at MGLVA are strongly encouraged to attend a Virtual Information Session. These sessions will help you understand the instructional model and expectations for students, parents, and the school as well as identify each student’s individual needs before the first day of school.
